MATCH REPORT

The Nambucca Strikers Men’s football match last Saturday was away against Grafton’s Westlawn Tigers. The Strikers had just the 11 players, ie. no extras to give anyone a rest. Things got harder when Jason Forbes had to retire injured after 15 minutes. The team Manager, Graeme Paix found some gear and stepped into the breach (he normally plays in the Over 35’s team). The Strikers were down by 2 in the 2nd half when another player was injured so they had to finish the game with 10 men. Westlawn won 4 goals to nil but not a bad effort by the Strikers under the circumstances.
